stuff という単語を杖のことかと思ったら、杖は staff 。ただ staff は職員などのことを指すことが多く、現代英語では walking stick とか cane とか crutches ということ理解しました。もはや wizard's staff とかいうのはファンタジーだけみたい。知らなかったです。
