If a pupil hesitates to respond, she patiently encourages them, using creative prompts like “Uh uh! What happened to the goat? Why is he sad?”—a technique that effectively captures attention. Once the student responds, she warmly acknowledges their effort with “Thank you, dear.”
Additionally, she places great emphasis on responding in complete sentences, an essential practice for KD’s language development. This approach not only improves communication skills but also builds confidence in expressing thoughts clearly.
